Description

Application Support Team Leader with 5yrs lead experience within an RPG development environment required for permanent role. This role can be based in Cavan or West Dublin.  


Responsibilites:

  • Allocate team members to development/support tasks taking account of individual’s abilities, task requirements and deadlines.
  • Liaise with third party suppliers & other internal departments on system requirements/issues, with regards to the delivery and support of IT systems.
  • Monitor performance of team members, taking action to ensure team KPIs and individual’s KPIs are met.
  • Provide Bonus Submissions for team in accordance with existing procedures and timelines.
  • Ensure there is an adequate mentoring/support structure in place to develop the knowledge of less experienced team members
  • Adhere to company standards and procedures in relation to line management, including TMS and Performance Management.
  • Assist in the development and training of less experienced staff.
  • Provide support for the monitoring of key business applications
  • Responding to Application Support calls logged via the call management system within target SLAs
  • Applying configuration changes to key applications
  • Ensure company standards and procedures are adhered to
  • Contribute to the on-going development of IT standards
  • Provide on-call support

 

Requirements:

  • Hold a relevant IT Qualification
  • 5 Years+ experience in a similar role.
  • Very strong Technical skills across a number of platforms including operating systems: RPG, RPG/ILE, CL, SQL
  • Delivery and quality focused.
  • Ability to remain focused under pressure.
