Mechanical Engineer

Norfolk, UK, £Neg plus package

Our client is a leading multinational M&E contractor servicing "blue chip" clients who are some of the world’s leading names in the Pharmaceutical, Industrial, Oil & Gas, and Technology sectors. They provide execute projects across four key business areas of mechanical, electrical, fire protection and technologies engineering.

They are undertaking the construction of a £13M bio energy facility at a major industrial complex in Norfolk and are looking to recruit an experienced process mechanical team including a Mechanical Engineer as described below.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To support the engineering requirements through managing & liaising with Subcontractors etc.
  • Interpret specifications to ensure designs are correctly transformed into engineering drawings
  • Carry out Pre-Commissioning and Test procedures and when applicable, supervise field installation
  • Plan, schedule, and/or coordinate works
  • Provide Method statements
  • Evaluate and promote the use of new engineering practices and processes to enhance delivery.

Essential:

  • 5 – 7 years experience working with a recognised Mechanical/Electrical contractor in process mechanical / pipework
  • Excellent organisational and project planning skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent negotiation & problem solving skills
  • Proficient in use of CAD and Database systems related to Engineering functions
  • Familiar with Project /Primavera planning software
