Field Service Engineer

Our client is seeking a field service engineer with broad experience to support a wide range of products, from IT hardware, to audio/visual equipment and communications devices/networks. Given the broad nature of the role, it is not expected that the successful candidate will have experience in all relevant areas, but you should have a broad experience, and be very strong in at least one of those fields.
The role will involve working on a team through the full process through from designing and installing systems, through to maintenance and support. The support side will involve troubleshooting, assessing the cost/benefit of repair vs replacement, and then carrying out the required actions.
This role involves a significant amount of customer-facing time, and a strong ability to prioritise tasks, so experience in this sort of environment would be crucial.
The company operates on a 24/7 basis, so there would be some shift work/on call work involved - this would be compensated for with appropriate shift allowances/on call bonuses.
