Electrical Test Engineer - Galway.

In this role you will be responsible for providing complete test solutions for all Electrical test activity. The electrical test engineer will also be responsible for planning and reporting on electrical testing for all project teams.

Responsibilities:

• Test Planning and Reporting

• Develop customer specific Electrical test plans.

• Liaise with R&D project team members to define test cases.

• Provide detailed reports to the project teams on completed tests.

• Provide clear and concise analysis of failure modes to project teams

•  Test Case Solutions

• Schematics and block diagrams for test solutions

• Developing the electronic hardware and software platforms for function test solutions.

• Support projects by recommending proven Electrical design solutions

• Operate computer-assisted software applications and equipment to perform test tasks.

• Test Support

• Support test houses in the set-up of systems prior to testing

• Provide work instructions to test houses to enable efficient transfer of test equipment

• Travel to test house where necessary to support test activity

• Support Project team with analysis of Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA)

• Maximize cost effectiveness of test houses by ensuring that alternative solutions have been considered prior to test kick off.

Requirements for this role are:

• Engineering degree.

• Minimum 3 years' test engineering experience.

• Knowledge of bench electrical testing

• Willing to travel abroad  to external test houses as required

Desirable:

• Knowledge of automotive systems

• Mechatronics or Physics & Instrumentation

• Validation experience
